Wendy's hallmark square hamburgers and homey atmosphere were introduced in Columbus, Ohio, in 1969, and since that time the company has enjoyed phenomenal growth.

Wendy's International, Inc. is the operator, developer, and franchiser of the Wendy's restaurant chain, which is the number three hamburger chain in the United States, trailing McDonald's and Burger King. At the end of 2001, there were more than 6,000 Wendy's restaurants around the world; about 5,300 of these were located in the United States with the balance located in 26 other countries and territories.




Apple Pecan Chicken Salad

Wendy's Apple Pecan Chicken Salad is a  mix of red and green apples, real blue cheese crumbles, sweet cranberries and roasted pecans, topped with a warm, grilled chicken fillet.

Serves 1

1 oz bleu cheese  
4 1/2 cups spring mix
1/2 tablespoon balsamic vinaigrette
1/2 large Granny Smith Apple
1/6 cup Craisins
1/2 oz Honey Roasted Pecans
4 oz chicken breast, grilled and well seasoned

Prepare pecans (if necessary).
Cut granny smith apples into bite-sized pieces.
Toss lettuce, apples and craisins well with dressing.
Cut the warm chicken breast into chunks.
Top salad with pecans, cheese and chicken and enjoy.
