Wendy's hallmark square hamburgers and homey atmosphere were introduced in Columbus, Ohio, in 1969, and since that time the company has enjoyed phenomenal growth.
Wendy's International, Inc. is the operator, developer, and franchiser of the Wendy's restaurant chain, which is the number three hamburger chain in the United States, trailing McDonald's and Burger King. At the end of 2001, there were more than 6,000 Wendy's restaurants around the world; about 5,300 of these were located in the United States with the balance located in 26 other countries and territories.
One of the most famous fast food frozen drinks, Wendy’s signature Frosty, got an update this summer with the launch of several new Frosty Parfaits. In the new lineup includes:
Oreo Frosty Parfait - a Frosty blended with Oreo cookies and milk chocolate syrup.
Caramel Apple Frosty Parfait - a Frosty swirled with brown sugar granola, red and green apple slices and real caramel.
Wild Berry Frosty Parfait - a Frosty blended with hand-sliced strawberries and blueberries.
If you've never made a parfait at home you should give these at try. Clear plastic drinking cups from the dollar store make a great serving container and its just a matter of layering in the flavors with the vanilla Frosty (see sidebar for recipe).
